SureFlap respects your privacy and takes seriously the protection and proper use of your personal information.  This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your information.

In this policy the words “we”, “our” and “us” refer to SureFlap LLC (www.sureflap.com) and the phrases “personally identifiable information” or “personal information” refer to any information by which you can be identified, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number etc.

 

What Personal Information We Collect

We collect personally identifiable information from you when you register for an account, place an order with us, subscribe to SureFlap email updates, complete an online survey and submit an enquiry via the SureFlap website. 

We may also obtain personal information from third parties, to assist in our future marketing activities.

We do not store or process any customer financial data. All financial data are processed and stored by Authorize.net and/or PayPal.

We only hold the data necessary to offer services provided on our website and restrict access to such data to those individuals who need it to provide you with products or services available from SureFlap.

 

How We Use Your Personal Information

We use your personal information that we collect to conduct our business and to provide you with the best possible products and services.

We regularly email website news and information updates to keep you posted on SureFlap’s latest product announcements, updates and upcoming events. All such emails sent by us are clearly marked as originating from us.  They also contain clear information on how to unsubscribe from our email service.  If you wish to unsubscribe from SureFlap’s news and marketing emails, you may do so at any time by sending an email to unsubscribe@sureflap.com with “Unsubscribe” as the email subject heading.

We may also use personal information for internal purposes, such as to help us develop, deliver and improve our products, services, content, advertising and customer communications.

If you enter a competition or similar promotion, we may use the information you provide to administer these programs.

We never send bulk unsolicited emails, (popularly known as Spam) to email addresses. However, we may send emails to existing customers or prospective customers who have enquired or registered with us, regarding products or services directly provided by us.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We never sell, rent or exchange mailing lists. SureFlap does not share customer information with third parties unless it is necessary to provide you with products or services available from SureFlap, or to help us market our products and services.  Any third-party companies we use to provide you with products or services are required to operate their own privacy policy and to keep your information secure and confidential. We may however share commercial and technical data with our partners where a customer has accessed and used our website via a site belonging to one of our partners. However, such information will also be subject to our partners’ privacy policies.

 

Third Party Advertising Partners

We may use third-party service providers to deliver advertisements (banners, links etc) on our behalf across the Internet.

These service providers may collect non-personally identifiable information about your visits to our website.  Such information is anonymous and does not include your name, address, email address or other personal information.

Our website uses "cookies" to track use and allow customers to purchase from our website. Please note that these cookies do not contain or pass any personal, confidential or financial information or any other information that could be used to identify individual visitors or customers purchasing from our website. Please note that you are free to refuse cookies. However, for purely technical reasons this may prevent you from purchasing from our website. This is because anonymous cookies are commonly used to keep track of the contents of customers’ shopping baskets during the checkout process. This facility ensures that the items added to (or removed from) your basket are accurately stated when you go to pay.

 

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected the personal information of a child under 13, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

If you have registered for an account at www.sureflap.com you can help to ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete and up to date by logging into your account.  For other personal information we make good faith efforts to respond to your requests to correct the data if it is inaccurate, or delete the data if SureFlap is not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes.

SureFlap takes administrative, technical and physical precautions to protect your personal information against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration and destruction. 

The SureFlap website uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all pages where personal information is collected.  To check that your connection is secure, look at the bottom status bar of your browser window.  If you see a closed lock or unbroken key, the SSL is active.

Please note that email is not encrypted and is not considered a secure means of transmitting credit card information.
