About Us

The SureFlap Microchip Cat Door was developed in the UK by Cambridge physicist and owner of Flipper, Dr. Nick Hill.  

Nick had experienced first-hand the unpleasant consequences of unwanted neighborhood cats entering his home through the cat door and decided to solve the problem.  After three years of intensive research and development, SureFlap was launched in the UK early in 2008. Since then SureFlap has been recommended by vets throughout Europe.  SureFlap was launched in North America at the beginning of 2010.

The SureFlap team has more than its share of devoted cat lovers, which helps us to anticipate the needs of cats and their owners alike.  We enjoy thinking of innovative ways to improve the lives of our feline friends using the latest technology and like nothing better than talking to a happy SureFlap customer.
